Biosphere Reserve

Protected natural area located in southeastern Mexico. Its name derives from its two main towns: Cuicatlán and Tehuacán, the latter is where its administrative offices are located. It covers 490,186 hectares distributed in 21 municipalities in the state of Puebla and 30 in Oaxaca. On July 2, 2018, at the XLII session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, the site was recognized as a mixed World Heritage Site.

Tehuacán Cathedral

Located in the town of Tehuacan in Puebla, is located the Temple of the Immaculate Conception and Cave known as the Cathedral of Puebla, which was built in 1724, when the first stone was placed as a celebration of the 203 years of the fall of Tenochtitlan.

Museum of evolution

The history of the land present in the Valley of Tehuacán. In the rooms of this spectacular museum you will be able to learn in a didactic and recreational way, the different episodes of the millenary relationship between man and nature, both in the past and in the present. In addition, the museum transports us to the time of the dinosaurs, to learn about these impressive beings.

Peñafiel Museum

Museum dedicated to the history of the spring, the mineral properties of its waters, the processes of use and benefit of this. Since 1445, the inhabitants of the valley of Tehuacan already knew the healing properties of minerals. The tour offered by the museum begins with a beautiful garden of cacti.

Paleopark la venta

Visiting this place you can admire the past and present evolutionary of our planet embodied in the rocks of the Mixtec region, enjoying a totally natural environment, besides being able to perform various outdoor activities in the company of nature, you can hike through the trails in the company of the family.

La Mesa Archaeological Zone

With a privileged view of the valley that gives it its name, the museum has a rich collection of archaeological pieces and audiovisual elements that reveal to the visitor what was, in pre-Hispanic times, the most important city in the east of the current state of Puebla: Ndachjian, better known as Tehuacan, ancient city of the Nguiwa or Popoloca culture.
